Our wallpapers consist of vinyl with an additional layer of non-woven material, making them particularly robust and resistant to dirt and moisture. This construction combines the advantages of vinyl and non-woven material and is produced in Germany to meet the highest standards. When introducing new patterns, we carefully test to ensure that the texture looks optimal, so you don't have to worry about which wallpaper texture to choose. Wallpaper Installation

You can easily apply Malumi products to the selected surface. Here we explain the process to make the task easier for you.

  • Please note that we cannot accept complaints for Malumi wallpaper and stickers for which attempts have already been made to apply them. Before you start, check the chosen pattern, color, and quantity.
  • Make sure the Malumi wallpaper you received matches your order.
  • Use adhesive for heavy vinyl wallpapers on non-woven backing. Our Malumi wallpapers weigh almost 300g/m2.
  • We recommend Wallfix - Contract Heavy adhesive.

Steps

1. Determining horizontal adhesive lines

Unroll the wallpaper strips and arrange them so that the entire pattern is visible. Plan the order of installation of the wallpaper strips. Begin installation by marking the spots on the wall where the vertical lines (where the wallpaper strips meet) should appear. Use a laser level to ensure the markings are straight. When planning, consider the installation overlap that will be added to the wallpaper dimensions.

2. Determining vertical adhesive lines.

Before you glue the wallpaper to the wall later, mark the vertical lines along the entire wall height. This ensures that there are no shifts during application. Remember, do not mark them permanently!

3. Applying the adhesive

You apply the adhesive to the wall surface and spread it evenly with a brush to get an even layer.

Important: Do not apply the adhesive to the surface of the photo wallpaper!

4. Gluing the photo wallpaper

You place a strip of wallpaper with adhesive on the surface and slowly and gently unroll it along its entire length to apply it.

5. Smoothing out irregularities

You smooth the surface of the wallpaper with a pressure roller or a wallpaper brush to remove any air bubbles.

6. Gluing subsequent murals

You repeat steps 1 to 5 for the next strips of wallpaper until all are applied to the wall surface. Important: Use a sponge or a cloth with slightly damp water to gently remove excess adhesive.

7. Fitting the photo wallpaper

Pay special attention to ensure the graphic fits (all wallpaper strips are ready to merge). Use a wallpaper roller to smooth out the joins. Trim off any excess edge.

The photo wallpaper is installed, now all that remains is to complete the arrangement and enjoy the beautiful interior! We would be delighted to receive a photo of your finished arrangement.

What and how does Malumi print?

Malumi places great importance on children being able to play in a healthy environment, especially in their own rooms! Therefore, they exclusively use certified materials and print with ecologically certified pigments.

The wallpaper you select is printed immediately after your order. Malumi's production facility does not stock products – printing is done specifically for you! This approach allows the wallpaper to be optimally adapted to your interior, from colors to proportions for each individual wall.

Malumi uses large-format printers for printing. The Malumi wallpaper pattern is printed on a vinyl base with a Floline primer, made from a blend of cellulose and polyester non-woven fabric with latex. The wallpaper is then installed using standard tools and techniques, as used for traditional wallpaper.
