Why a spring cradle is the best sleep aid

Babies often sleep restlessly in the first months of life and wake up quickly. Colicky babies or babies with stomach pain (colic) especially need a lot of closeness and movement to calm down. Parents report: After just a few minutes, the baby calms down, cries less and can relax.

Optional: Ceiling attachment

With the ceiling attachment, you can securely attach your spring cradle to the ceiling. The integrated ball bearing ensures that the spring cradle can rotate gently – this prevents twisted or chafed cords and allows you to move freely in the desired direction.

Safety instructions

General use

• The spring cradle is not a toy or exercise equipment.
• It is exclusively for calming and sleeping babies.
• Suitable for a maximum body weight of 15 kg (approx. 2–2.5 years).
• Read the operating instructions completely before first use.

Use by the child

• Discontinue use immediately as soon as the child can sit, kneel, or pull themselves up.
• Do not place any additional objects (toys, pillows, blankets, etc.) in the spring cradle.
• A spring cradle does not replace a bed or a suitable sleeping place for the night.

Supervision duty

• Children must never be left unsupervised in the spring cradle.
• Siblings or pets must not play unsupervised near the spring cradle.
• Excessive swinging or pushing by other children must be strictly avoided.

Suspension & assembly

• A swivel is recommended by Lottili, but is not part of the scope of delivery and must not be used if a motor is installed.
• Before each use, check that all components are properly attached and intact.
• Regularly check the load-bearing capacity of the eye screw.
• In case of defects or missing parts, the spring cradle must not be used.
• Only use original spare parts and accessories (frame, door frame clamp, spring, safety rope).
• The special spring must never be used without a safety rope.
• The safety rope must always be correctly fastened above and below the spring and be freely movable.
• For ceiling mounting: hang max. 40 cm above the floor.
• Loose ends of the extension chain must be secured.
• The straps on the wooden bar must be fixed with a double knot and must not be reachable by children.
• Store the link chain securely before each use and check for correct fit.

Environment

• Always plan sufficient space so that the spring cradle does not hit furniture or walls.
• Only suitable for indoor use and dry environments.
• Never use outdoors overnight.
• Do not hang near open fires, radiant heaters, gas ovens or other heat sources.
• Uneven surfaces or slippery floors can impair the safety of the frame – only use on a level surface.

Risks & hazard prevention

• Avoid excessive vibrations (risk of injury from hitting furniture or walls).
• Small components (carabiners, etc.) are small parts that can be swallowed – never leave them lying around loosely.
• Hanging cradles pose risks if other children use them improperly as a swing.
